Hands-On Healthy Baking: Dough & Batter Basics for Kids

In this fun, hands-on baking class, kids will learn kitchen skills while making two delicious recipes – one sweet and one savoury. Together, we’ll explore the difference between dough and batter as we make no-rise bagels and chocolate zucchini muffins, each with a healthy twist.
Young bakers will practice essential techniques like measuring ingredients, mixing without overworking batter, kneading dough, and shaping bagels. Along the way, they’ll build confidence using kitchen tools safely and learn how simple ingredient additions like veggies, whole-grains, and yogurt can make foods both nutritious and delicious.
Children will each take home a share of the muffins and bagels and have some time to eat in class.
Location: This class takes place at a private teaching kitchen in North York near Bathurst and Sheppard. Exact address emailed upon registration.
